    Tim Takala has been working in the telecommunications industry with ADC KRONE, Now TE Connectivity, for 15 years. Beginning his carrier in Research and Development as the Laboratory and Technical Manager for Asia/Pacific, Tim has worked throughout the region in support of new product developments. Transferred to the United States in 2000, Tim spent 5 years as the Technical Director for the Americas region overseeing the development of cable and connectivity products. Now based in Asia Pacific, Tim heads up a team of engineers focused on supporting customer networks throughout APAC. Tim also spends time working with consultants, system integrators and end users on solution development.

    A regular speaker at industry events, Tim is also the author of several industry white papers, application reports and articles on structured cabling technologies.

    Biography:

    Harkeeret (Harqs) Singh is Global Head of Energy & Sustainable Technology at Thomson Reuters. He is seen as the Energy 'Czar' and one of the main enablers of a greener and more sustainable future for the company. In his role Harqs is responsible for energy efficiency and sustainability across the Markets division, including Data Centres, Servers, Storage, Network and Desktop.

    Harqs has been working within the industry specifically looking at data centers and IT in both Europe and the US for some time, particularly in the pursuit of advancing energy efficiency principles and working across traditional boundaries to achieve ’holistic’ efficiency. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters in August 2009 he held a variety of roles at BT, including Head of Data Centre Strategy.

    At Thomson Reuters Harqs is responsible for industry engagement around energy efficiency, liaising with The Green Grid (serving as Chair for EMEA alongside sitting on the Advisory Council), ASHRAE, the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres and the US EPA/DoE energy efficiency initiatives and many other fora across the industry. He is also a lead representative for Global Climate Change Policies - UK CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme, APA (American Power Act) and others across the world.

    Harqs holds a BSc in Computer Science and Business Management from the University of Birmingham and awards which include a Strategy Award from Accenture.

    Bob Fabrizio is currently the General Manager, Asia Pacific at Princeton Blue. Bob has 30 years of experience in IT in a wide range of roles and geographies. Prior to Princeton Blue, he was a Director - Capital Markets, at Deutsche Bank in Singapore, were he lead a team providing large Global IT Programme and Portfolio Management in the Global General Ledger and Financial Reporting Systems area. Before Deutsche Bank, he delivered Customer Solutions in the Business Integration and BPM areas for over eight years while he ran Professional Services and Customer Support organizations for webMethods (now part of Software AG) throughout Asia, Japan, and ANZ, and in the USA.

    Before joining webMethods, Bob led teams working on delivering major consulting projects in the ERP and CRM areas. This experience was gained while working at top-tier Enterprise solution providers, including Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, Technology Solutions Company, Sales Technologies, and KPMG Peat Marwick.

    Bob has an M.A. Degree in Computer Science from Duke University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Ohio University. Before getting into Consulting, he started his career as a Software Developer, working in the areas of Office Automation, Text Search and Retrieval, Pen-based Computing, and Sales Force Automation, along with early email and mobile platform development. He has been living in Asia for the last eleven years, having been stationed in Tokyo, Shanghai, and now Singapore, working with customers throughout the Asia Pacific Region.

    CK was most recently with IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) as an Advisory Sales Specialist for network infrastructure, network security and data centre solutions. Prior to that, he spent five years as a Technical Marketing Engineer for Intel’s Network Products Division covering the APAC region and supporting the product managers for switches, routers, SSL accelerators and Server Load Balancers. He also held various technical positions in Novell and Singapore Computer Systems before that.

    CK has nearly 20 years of experience in the IT industry, covering technologies from networking security, VoIP to wireless solutions.

    Biography:

    Anup Changaroth is Director of Portfolio Marketing, and the dual responsibility of being the Asia Pacific Product Marketing prime for Ciena’s range of next-generation Packet Optical, Switching and Carrier-Ethernet solutions, as well as leading the marketing communications function for the company across the region.

    He has been involved in the communications field for nearly 20 years, since designing and building his own V.23 modem in the late ‘80s.

    Prior to Ciena’s acquisition of Nortel’s Metro Ethernet Networks division, Mr. Changaroth held various positions at Nortel, including leading the Product Marketing functions for Asia Pacific from 2003 till 2009, and the Solutions Marketing team for Nortel’s Local Internet division between 1997 to 2000, during which he was responsible for IP optimized “last mile” solutions to Service Providers, as well as spearheading Nortel’s Optical Ethernet marketing strategy across Asia Pacific between 2000 - 2001.

    Prior to Nortel, Mr Changaroth held various positions at Motorola's Information Systems Group; the pioneers of analog transmissions systems and X.25 packet switching solutions. At Motorola Mr. Changaroth worked on the design of X.25 and Frame Relay access networks for the banking & financial sector and deployment of various analog transmission systems.

    Mr. Changaroth holds an Honours Degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the City University, London; Marketing Management Diploma from Columbia University, USA; as well as a Diploma in Electronics Engineering from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore.

    He is an active industry participant, holding voting membership positions at the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers, the Association for Computing Machinery, and the Audio Engineering Society.
