Singapore, 4th October 2011 The Pacific Strategic Group launched an initiative in Singapore that enables CIOs and other senior IT professionals to share information and thoughts with like-minded individuals on virtually any aspect of their roles. These leading IT professionals are now able to join a group known as the Singapore CIO GRID (Geographic Regional Independent Domain) which, in turn, forms part of the global CIO Matrix.
Amongst other things, members of the GRID are entitled to attend a number of live events and educational programs specifically designed for today’s CIO and CTOs. These events and educational programs will give them access to many leading authorities from such organisations as the London School of Economics, Stevens Institute of Technology, MIT Sloane, INSEAD, Stamford University, Enterprise Architecture Centre of Excellence, Mayer Brown, McKinsey & Company, Booz & Co and many more.
About the GLOBAL CIO MATRIX
The CIO Matrix consists of a number of GRIDs, each covering a specific geographic region. These combine to form the global CIO Matrix which provides a unique approach to facilitating collaboration between members of Senior IT management and decision makers across multiple industries on a global basis. The framework is designed to offer members a number of personal development opportunities and consists of 3 major components:
-
A secure and independent online platform for regional and global peer networking and information sharing;
-
A schedule of formal and informal events hosted in all locations to provide opportunities for a more personable networking experience while discussing topics relevant to the local community;
-
A series of 1 day modules covering strategic aspects fundamental to the success of all CIO’s and senior IT professionals.
A key feature of the CIO Matrix is that, as the community grows and matures, it is envisioned that the format and content of the framework and associated events will be determined entirely by the members themselves. This will ensure the community themselves decide on the goals and objectives of the group and how best to leverage the platform to achieve these goals, without undue influence from external parties or interests.
When combined, the features outlined above constitute a unique offering to the marketplace, filling an unserviced niche for the CIO community, a gap identified by the community themselves. Membership to a GRID is by invitation only and is generally limited to D and C level senior technology managers, strategists and decision makers. Members will initially have complete access to members of their own GRID, and, as the GRID matures, facilitated interactions and information exchange between the global GRIDs will be provided.
