A Review of Data Centre Strategies and Trends 2010
This paper presents a review of data center strategies and trends for the year 2010. For example, Kenneth Hess proposed 10 strategies. They are making data center greener, consolidating systems and functions to do more with less, using virtualization to allow a single higher-end hardware to take care of multiple and disparate workload, using cloud computing, using private cloud, taking care of disaster recovery, content delivery, storage-area networks, remote backup, and automation.

Technologies for Energy Efficient Data Centre Operations
Hardware efficiencies are essential to reducing the amount of power used by data storage in the data centre. Equally, real savings are obtained by reducing the number of copies of your data that must be made, kept and managed. This talk presents a number of innovative technologies that each address part of the problem, and illustrates the impact that each technology can have on your data centre footprint.
