Vidyasagar Puthran is a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Mysore University and has been continuously involved with building Data Centers in India right from1977 when he was the Project Manager for the Data Center being built for the CDC Cyber ‘Super Computer’ being installed for the use of the Government of India by NIC. >From here he moved on to CMC Ltd and then to IBM and has witnessed first hand the transformation of the industry from days of 100MB Cabinet sized Disk Drives to the 320 GB cigarette pack sized disk drives we have today. He has built over the years more than 70+ Data Centers for all kinds of systems all over the country and abroad. He is currently the Chief Architect, Site & Facilities Services at IBM.
